NORTH WEST SCITT – AUTUMN TERM UPDATE
We have had an incredible first term with our trainee teachers, who have participated in weekly, high-quality CPD sessions provided by North West SCITT and Ambition Institute.

>Planning a lesson
>Effective explanation
>Relationships for behaviour and learning
>Effective pair talk
>Questioning to check for understanding
>Trainee Assessment
>PGCE Assignments
In addition to these sessions, our trainees have looked at English, phonics, maths, science, history and geography.
Within schools all trainees have engaged in mentor meetings, observed their colleagues’ teaching practices, attended deliberate practice clinics, and successfully implemented new skills into their own teaching.
What a brilliant start!
