This secondary route is specifically for those subjects that are not necessarily taught at KS3. For us, this includes Business Studies but we can also tailor our other routes to lead to this QTS recommendation.

It involves 2 placements in very contrasting secondary schools with a Sixth Form/FE environment. Significant time is spent in KS4 and KS5 to ensure trainees can teach the full age and ability range within this route.

We will build your placements based on what we learn about you at the assessment day and no two trainees will have the same experience.

Alongside your mainstream placements, you will have Professional Studies and guest speakers visit weekly as local experts in their field.

You will have access to our Life Coach for your wellbeing and to fully prepare you for interviews for jobs.

We have a 100% local employment rate.

You will also be equipped with a behaviour management toolkit and classroom leadership schools as a result of intensive training and you will visit settings in very different circumstances.

For two weeks of the year, you will have enhancement placements. Again, your programme for this will be bespoke to your needs. You will teach children for whom English is an additional language. You will teach children with different learning difficulties and disabilities. You will also teach in Pupil Referral Units and contrasting secondary settings to ensure you are fully prepared for your early career as a teacher.

Within the tuition fees, you also receive an additional qualification as you will leave the programme as a qualified Teacher of the PSHE Association [Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education]. This is an integral part of our unique programme and is part of your training to prepare your pupils for life in modern Britain.
