Bea Tingey
Director of Secondary Teacher Training
My name is Bea Tingey, and I am honoured to lead the secondary training programme for the SCITT. It is a profound privilege to play a role in preparing the next generation of educators, who will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the lives of young people across the North West. Collaborating with a network of distinguished experts throughout Blackpool, Liverpool, and beyond, all united by a shared commitment to enhancing educational outcomes, is both fulfilling and gratifying.
With over 28 years of experience in education, I bring a deep well of knowledge and expertise to my role. My career encompasses a range of positions, including English language and literature teacher, Lead Practitioner in teaching and learning, CPD facilitator, and Assistant Headteacher responsible for ITT and ECT development and progression.
In addition to my professional responsibilities, I am a passionate advocate of the theatre, literature and enjoy exploring the countryside in my free time.
Andrew Kenworthy

My name is Andrew Kenworthy and I am the Primary programme leader for the SCITT. I have been teaching for 16 years and during that time, I have taught in both Key Stages and been a curriculum lead in English, P.E., History, Geography, MfL and Art. As well as being the primary programme leader for the North West SCITT, I am also the deputy headteacher at a local school.
In my spare time I like to go to the gym; watch my three boys play for their football teams; and I also have a season ticket at Preston North End.
Laura Foley

Seeing our SCITT graduates gaining promotions and forging their careers is a real privilege!
